Director of Coaching Andy Collins will depart Port Adelaide, returning to Melbourne for personal and private reasons.
Collins joined Port Adelaide ahead of the 2026 season, working closely across the club's coaching group and playing a key role in supporting Josh Carr through his first season as senior coach.
Port Adelaide senior coach Josh Carr thanked Collins for his contribution to the club’s football program.
“Andy has provided me with outstanding support throughout my first season as senior coach,” Carr said.
“To have someone with his experience to act as a sounding board has been very beneficial to me and our other coaches.
“We thank Andy for his contribution and wish him and his family all the very best for the next chapter.”
Collins said it was a difficult decision to leave the club.
“I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at Port Adelaide and I'm pleased with my contribution to the program,” Collins said.
“It's been great to work with the coaching group and help Josh in his development as a senior coach.
“I need to return to Melbourne due to private and personal reasons, but I thank Port Adelaide for the opportunity. This is a great football club made up of great people, and I leave having made life-long friendships.”
Collins said he hoped to remain involved in football in some capacity.
“Whilst I'd like to stay involved in football, I have qualifications and experience that also provide for opportunities outside of football.”
The club will provide further football department updates in due course.
