PORT ADELAIDE ruckman Scott Lycett has been nominated for the Coates Hire Goal of the Year for his superb solo effort during Port’s 57-point victory over Adelaide.

Lycett gathered on the bounce just inside 50, took on fellow ruckman Reilly O’Brien, and finished to hand the Power back the lead early in the third quarter.

The 26-year-old’s goal was the catalyst for nine consecutive majors from the Power, which saw them leapfrog the Crows into seventh spot on the AFL ladder.
