OLLIE WINES was among four players to be given full marks by the AFL coaches out of the matches in Round 13 – the second week in a row he has scored a perfect grade.

The Port Adelaide vice-captain tallied 10 votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award from Thursday night’s win over the Western Bulldogs.

Wines gathered a career-high 35 disposals, six marks, seven tackles, six clearances and a goal.

Amongst that total, Wines had his best tally of handballs (18) and marks (six) for the season.

Robbie Gray received eight votes after racking up 28 touches, four marks, six clearances and three goals.

Chad Wingard’s 30-disposal game in the midfield saw him receive five votes while Tom Rockliff’s 25 touches and three goals earned him three votes.

Paddy Ryder got one vote for his performance in the ruck, which included 41 hit-outs, five clearances and a goal.

Western Bulldogs Hayden Crozier and Marcus Bontempelli received two votes and one vote respectively.

Wines, Lachie Neale (Fremantle), James Sicily (Hawthorn) and Elliot Yeo (West Coast Eagles) all received the maximum ten votes from the AFL coaches for Round 13.

Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe extended his advantage at the top of the leaderboard with eight votes, but Hawthorn’s Tom Mitchell’s 40-disposal game against Adelaide saw him close to within 11 votes of the 2015 Brownlow Medallist.

Wines and Gray have both moved into the top 20, after very strong performances against the Bulldogs.
