Win tackles + win score = good game

Everyone loves a good tackle, but it can often mean yours is the team doing the chasing! On Friday night it was Port Adelaide with the lion’s share of possession, the score on the board and the tackle count to go with it. A comprehensive, pressure performance from the Power (and with its best quarter for 2016) made for an enjoyable night out.

Ebert and Mitchell can tag

These two mates did a pretty good job tagging star Tigers Cotchin and Martin on Friday night. This is new territory for both, but Ebert has been solid running with players this year, and Mitchell has been given some big jobs against star SANFL opposition. Could one of these guys be the heir to Kane Cornes as the Power's tagging guru?

Boaky rises to the occasion

It’s been a tough year for the captain, but Boak rose to the occasion on Friday night in a timely reminder of what he’s capable of. His 26 touches, including 13 contested, 11 tackles and two goals highlighted his class and leadership.

The boys have been watching too much Euro 2016

Westhoff, Boak and even John Butcher in the Maggies – the boys loved kicking some cracking goals off the deck this weekend. We guess that’s what happens when soccer is in the news.
