FOUR QUARTERS

THE STAKES
Both Port Adelaide and the Bulldogs are coming off big wins in Round 9, and a win to either side could see them sneak into the top eight. Port Adelaide aren't quite back playing the footy expected of them, but will be hoping to continue the two-and-a-half quarters that saw the Power brush Melbourne aside last week. The Bulldogs are one of the surprise teams this season, but could be missing some flair this weekend with injuries to key players.

THE STOCKS
Port Adelaide made it through their game against Melbourne without any injuries, however there could be some selection headaches for the coaches with a number of players, including Brendon Ah Chee and Paddy Ryder, facing fitness tests. For the Bulldogs, livewires Marcus Bontempelli and Liam Picken will be racing against time after both suffered muscle tightness during their game.

THE HISTORY
While Port narrowly has the edge in the head-to-head battle with 12 wins to 11, the Bulldogs have proved to be a bogey side in recent years. Port won their only contest last year, played at Adelaide Oval in Round 14, however before that the last win over the Bulldogs was in 2006.

THE VIBE
Port’s midfield took control of the game last weekend and was the difference between the two sides. They need to fire again to keep Port on the winners list for another week.
