PORT ADELAIDE midfielder Travis Boak has been fined for making contact with an umpire during his side’s 75-point Showdown 48 win over the Crows.

Boak was charged with a first offence or making careless contact with umpire Craig Fleer in the last quarter of the record breaking win at Adelaide Oval.

It was the Power’s biggest winning margin over Adelaide.

Boak was judged to be best on ground by six judges and awarded his second career Showdown Medal, but the former skipper will come home slightly lighter in his wallet after being fined $750.

He can accept a $500 sanction with an early guilty plea and will still be available for the Power’s round 3 clash against Fremantle on the Gold Coast.

Boak has until Monday to decide whether to challenge the charge.
