Cam Sutcliffe will miss a period of football after injuring his hamstring against the Giants.

CAM SUTCLIFFE is expected to miss a period of football after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday’s win over Greater Western Sydney.

Sutcliffe came off late in the second quarter of the 17-point win over the Giants, after straining his right hamstring, and the 28-year-old is likely to miss a couple of weeks of football.

Steven Motlop was concussed as a result of a heavy collision with teammate Kane Farrell in the last quarter and will need to be assessed under AFL protocols to clear him to play ahead of this weekend’s game against Carlton.

Wingman Xavier Duursma has returned to training and is expected to push for selection this week after overcoming the hamstring strain he suffered in the Round 3 win over Fremantle.

The club will on Thursday evening name its squad for the game at the Gabba, before finalising the side on Friday.

Injury list

Xavier Duursma – hamstring (test)

Steven Motlop – concussion (test)

Cam Sutcliffe – hamstring (2-3 weeks)
