PORT Adelaide's Round 17 match against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium has been changed from a day game to a night fixture.
Originally scheduled for 2.10pm EST, the match will now begin at 7.40pm EST and will be shown nationally by the Seven Network.
The match has switched time slots with the GWS v Essendon clash at Skoda Stadium so the Giants match did not clash with a scheduled game for Manchester United on the same night at ANZ Stadium in the Sydney Olympic Sporting Precinct.
“The AFL seeks to support major events where possible, and to avoid clashes with any AFL matches, and it’s in the best interests of all sports fans for these changes to be made for round 17 next season with as much notice as we can provide,” said Simon Leethlan, AFL General Manager Broadcasting, Scheduling and Legal Affairs.
