Vote YES for Adelaide Oval
The Port Adelaide Football Club is on a journey to a future that promises to be as exciting and successful as our past.
Whilst we have a range of strategies in place across the short, medium and long term - against which we are tracking well - the breakthrough strategy for our club is without doubt a move to an upgraded Adelaide Oval.
It will enable football to return to the city and allow Port Adelaide to again play at the ground where so many of our Premierships were won. Most importantly, it will give us the best possible opportunity for sustained future success.
This process is now reaching a critical stage.
Members of the South Australian Cricket Association will vote on Monday May 2nd on a resolution to amend their constitution enabling SACA to enter into a joint venture with the SANFL to redevelop Adelaide Oval.
The Port Adelaide Football Club needs that vote to be successful. The purpose of this letter is to encourage all of our members and supporters who are SACA members to have their say, and to vote YES.
The executive and board of the Port Adelaide Football Club believe there is a compelling case in support of that YES vote.
Moving to a redeveloped Adelaide Oval will change our world, and only for the better.

The bottom line is that it will deliver us upward of an additional $3.5 million per year, putting us in the best possible position to be competitive with our rivals on field in the AFL.
Independent analysis projects a boost to membership of 70% and an increase in attendance of nearly 30%, delivering the breakthrough strategy our club needs.
There are great benefits for the future of football at ALL levels, along with cricket and South Australia as a whole. The analysis shows the redevelopment will increase overall annual attendances at Adelaide Oval by almost one million people, generating $111 million in additional economic activity in the City of Adelaide.
You have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a stronger and even more successful Port Adelaide Football Club, and at the same time leave a greater legacy for future generations.
The Port Adelaide Football Club has a proud history at Adelaide Oval. Now, more importantly, your YES vote can help to shape our future.
A majority of 75% of votes is required to amend the SACA constitution, so it is imperative that the voice of every SACA member is heard. Please do not leave it to others to vote. Have your say in support of the Port Adelaide Football Club and South Australia, and encourage others who are eligible to do likewise.
