PORT Adelaide expects to regain a host of senior players, including star midfielder Travis Boak, for its NAB Challenge clash with Richmond on Friday night.

Boak, who has endured a pre-season riddled with injury problems, could be joined in the Power line-up by ruckman Dean Brogan and forwards Jay Schulz and Robbie Gray for the trip to Alice Springs.

All four players missed Port's round one NAB Cup matches against Melbourne and Adelaide.

"All things going well this week, and barring any mishaps, we're hoping to see those guys up in Alice Springs and getting some valuable game time," Port head fitness coach Cam Falloon told portadelaidefc.com.au.

In further good news for the Power, Falloon said 2008 No.4 NAB AFL Draft pick Hamish Hartlett has almost recovered from the hamstring injury he suffered in January.

"Hamish Hartlett's about one week away," Falloon said.

"He's training really well. He'll join the full group training session tomorrow morning and we're looking forward to seeing him for NAB game three."

Midfielder David Rodan, who had LARS surgery on his left knee for the second time in November, is also close to making a comeback.

"David Rodan's back in full training and he just needs a couple more weeks just to tidy up some skills and satisfy the coaches that he's done enough football work outside of his general conditioning to be match fit and ready to go," Falloon said.

"So we're looking forward to hopefully seeing him in NAB game three."

Falloon said mature-age recruit Simon Phillips, who broke his jaw at training last Wednesday, is in "pretty good spirits" following surgery on Friday.

"We're looking forward to seeing him back on the track, starting running in the next week," Falloon said.

"He'll have six weeks of non-contact training and be ready to go early in the season."
