Dear Members and supporters,

For many South Australian families, today has taken quite a detour, that none of us were expecting this morning!

Importantly, I just wanted to connect on behalf of everyone at the Port Adelaide Football Club to make sure you, your family and friends are safe and well as we prepare for six days (hopefully) of hard lockdown.

We have proven as a community already in South Australia we can do this better than anyone and I’m sure that will be the case once again. The response has been rapid, and I’m sure that if we all do the right thing and adhere to the lockdown restrictions, we’ll be able to get back to our relatively normal lives before we know it.

For the football club, what does that look like?

We’ve organised training equipment for our players, they were loading up their cars at the club today with training gear, exercise bikes, treadmills – so they are sorted.

The administration team, including membership are working remotely. For membership in particular, email membership@pafc.com.au or sms 0408 573 279 for a call back is the best option. Our team are online and working through the messages as we speak. We thank you for your patience as our team works through the queries.

The Port Store at Alberton is closed. You can visit our online store at www.portstore.com.au for your Port Adelaide retail fix.

Our community team have had a tough week, having to postpone the flagship Santos Aboriginal Power Cup for the second time this year. Hundreds of students from right across the state had worked hard all year in their schooling and were looking so forward to the carnival tomorrow as a reward for their efforts. We share their disappointment.

Both the Port Club and the Prince of Wales are also closed, really tough for our staff and customers.

Our communications team will be keeping you updated, so stay close to our website and social channels for updates. We do have some exciting news which of course will be ‘member first’ so keep a close eye out for these announcements.

In partnership with the Adelaide Film Festival and 57 Films, the premiere screenings of This is Port Adelaide, which were scheduled for next weekend (27-29 Nov) have unfortunately been postponed. We look forward to announcing new dates for the premiere screening in early 2021.

In the mean-time, please stay safe, take care of yourself, your family and friends and please be careful.

Thank you again for your support of the Port Adelaide Football Club. We have a lot to be excited about for 2021 and can’t wait to share that journey with you all.

Stay safe and best wishes

Richo
