The design of the proposed new bistro area is inspired by the industrial feel of the Port.

THE PORT ADELAIDE Football Club is excited to share some new concept images for the redevelopment of the upstairs section of the social club upgrade.

As part of the redevelopment, a new interactive museum and retail experience is being created downstairs with the sports bar and bistro relocated upstairs.

The bistro will include an entertainment deck area coming out into the grandstand space to capitalise on the views out over Alberton Oval, the city and the vista of the Adelaide Hills in the background.

Meeting rooms will also be created alongside the bistro.

New images released by the club show a newly erected stairwell leading immediately into a clean and contemporary space with views over Alberton Oval.

With exposed brick walls, concrete floors and plenty of greenery, the space appears modern but warm, and the large glass windows run the length of the bistro to allow patrons to watch training or a game while they enjoy a meal and a beverage. The inspiration to bring the industrial feel of the Port into the heart of Alberton Oval is evident throughout.

Stage one of the redevelopment, which includes the museum and new Port Store, is making good progress with a completion date close to September.

The club is hopeful of securing the final funding for Stage 2 in the coming months to ensure the continued transition to the upstairs development work.
