PORT ADELAIDE will be forced into at least one change at selection with forward Todd Marshall ruled out of Saturday’s game against Gold Coast.

Marshall was subbed out of Thursday night’s game against Geelong and, although recovering well, under the AFL’s concussion protocols must undertake a mandatory recovery period of 12 days before returning to play.

Sam Mayes’ condition will be assessed as the week progresses after the midfielder sat the weekend out with neck soreness following a collision in the club’s SANFL win over West Adelaide in Round 8.

Forward Trent Burgoyne was a late withdrawal from the SANFL game on Saturday against Woodville-West Torrens after feeling hamstring tightness in the warm-up and will be assessed ahead of this weekend.

Defenders Tom Clurey and Jake Pasini, forward Orazio Fantasia, wingman Xavier Duursma and midfielder Jackson Mead are each closing in on a return to the field.

Port Adelaide faces the Suns on the Gold Coast on Saturday 19 June at 1:45pm AEST / 1:15pm ACST.
