Arriving at the club in 2018, Zak Butters has continued to build on an extremely impressive beginning chapter of his AFL career.

Known for his hard-at-the-ball attitude and silky skills, Butters is widely known as one of the best players in the competition. 2025 was another incredible year for the young star, averaging 28 disposals (13.6 of those kicks) and 6.6 clearances.

At just 25 years old, Butters boasts three John Cahill Medals, two All-Australian blazers, two AFLPA Most Courageous Player Awards and an AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award.

In a testament to his strong leadership skills, Butters is the club's vice-captain - supporting captain and best mate Connor Rozee.
