Zak Butters came to Port Adelaide as part of the club’s lauded draft haul of 2018, heading to Alberton alongside fellow first round selections Connor Rozee and Xavier Duursma.
Somewhat overshadowed by his fellow draftees during their rookie season, Butters’ uncompromising zest for the tough stuff and silky skills ensured he quickly became a favourite amongst Port Adelaide’s supporter base.
In year two, Butters continued to build on an impressive first season at the top level, improving across the board and rocketing himself into the All Australian squad of 40 after a super consistent season.
