PORT ADELAIDE has made several changes to its SANFL line-up for Sunday’s clash with traditional rivals Norwood with Steven Motlop among a host of inclusions.

Motlop last played for the Magpies in Round 17 last season when he had 20 disposals against Sturt.

With Mitch Georgiades, Martin Frederick, Jackson Mead and Brynn Teakle all being called up to the AFL side and Trent McKenzie having to miss after being placed under the mandatory rest period following a late concussion last week, there will be numerous changes to the side which beat Central District last weekend.

Xavier Duursma, Sam Mayes, Jase Burgoyne and Taj Schofield have all been named as AFL emergencies but could be included to face the Redlegs if not required in Saturday’s AFL game against Sydney.

SANFL-contracted players Trent Burgoyne, Tom Corcoran, Jake Weidemann, Anthony Wilson, Campbell Wildman and Mac Nield have each been named to return at Alberton Oval on Sunday.

It will be the second time Wilson plays against Norwood, where he played 108 games including the successful 2014 grand final win over Port.

The Redlegs currently sit one win ahead of Port Adelaide on the ladder, having won five of the last six encounters between the sides.

Sunday’s game at Alberton gets underway at 1:10pm.
