Port Adelaide forward Britt Perry has undergone a successful ankle surgery following a syndesmosis injury sustained at training last week. 

Perry suffered a high ankle sprain after landing awkwardly in a tackle during match simulation practice.

She will work with closely with the Port medical team to monitor her recovery. A timeframe for a return to training will become clearer in the coming days.

Port Adelaide will begin its NAB AFLW season on Saturday August 27 in Perth against the West Coast Eagles.
