DEFENDERS Tom Clurey and Lachie Jones are each recovering well following surgery last week on respective knee and hamstring injuries.

Clurey’s season came to a close after he had arthroscopic surgery to clean out some loose bodies in his left knee while Jones’s right hamstring was successfully operated on, ending his campaign.

Both are expected to return to take part in pre-season training, alongside Orazio Fantasia (quad) and Josh Sinn (groin) who were each ruled out last week for the remaining two games of the year.

Ruckman Scott Lycett has completed a course of antibiotics to clear an infection in his shoulder. He has resumed training but won’t be considered for selection.

And, defender Jake Pasini was a welcome sight at training on Friday when started running again, three months after having surgery to repair his ruptured left anterior cruciate ligament. The 21-year-old earlier this month signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name its sides to face the Crows in the Showdown double header at Adelaide Oval.

The SANFL game gets underway at 3:20pm with the AFL Showdown from 7pm.
