THE majority of Port Adelaide’s AFLW listed players will take part in the 2023 SANFLW competition as part of their pre-season training ahead of AFLW Season Eight.

Those that already had a previous alignment to a SANFLW club automatically go back to that club, including premiership Rooster, Hannah Ewings after her stand out AFLW debut season.

New signings or draftees that didn’t previously have an alignment to a SANFLW club were allocated a team based on a number of factors including 2022 results, competition integrity, quality and experience of the player and residential location.

Players will be released to the SANFLW clubs for varying periods of next year’s SANFLW season, pending their AFLW club commitments and injury status.

The 2023 Hostplus SANFLW League fixture is expected to be released before Christmas.
