RUCKMAN Brynn Teakle will spend a period on the sidelines after suffering a foot injury.

Teakle reported foot soreness after Saturday’s SANFL game and medical imaging has shown signs of early stress in the navicular bone.

The 23-year-old will spend the short-term with his left foot in a moon boot to allow the injury to settle before resuming training.

The 204cm big man has averaged 21 hit-outs in his four AFL games this season.

He has played a total of six AFL games since being selected by Port Adelaide in last season’s Mid-Season Rookie Draft.
