DEFENDER Lachie Jones will miss Thursday night’s clash with Geelong with a fractured jaw.

Jones suffered the injury after a collision in the last quarter of Friday night’s win over the Western Bulldogs.

Despite pain and swelling, the 21-year-old was able to play out the game but x-rays have since revealed a fracture.

While he won’t require surgery, the injury will likely sideline him for a month.

Jones played perhaps the best game of his 26-game career against the Dogs, finishing with career-highs for disposals (19) and marks (six) and showing both power and poise while mopping up across half back.

The club’s full injury update will be provided later.
