ZAK Butters has claimed his eighth MG MVP nod of 2023, fetching a convincing 70% of the fan vote for his dominant performance against the Dockers.

The electric midfielder was influential around the ball in what was a tight contest between two young teams.

Butters ran out the game with a team-high 31 disposals and five tackles, adding seven score involvements and a handful of clearances to his productive afternoon.

He also scored a memorable over-the-shoulder goal, breaking free in the stoppage to snap one of the craftier goals you'll see this year.

He holds top place on the MG MVP Leaderboard and looks certain to take out the award in 2023.

Coming in second place in the Round 23 voting was fellow star midfielder, Jason Horne-Francis. 

The young gun collected a whopping eight clearances (team-high), to go along with eleven kicks and a goal.

Port Adelaide now shifts its attention to its final home-and-away clash, a Sunday afternoon match up with the Tigers. There will be extra kids activity to complement the family-friendly time-slot of 12pm.
