Dan Houston etched himself into Port Adelaide folklore with his after-the-siren heroics against the Bombers and he could soon find his name in the AFL history books after being named a finalist for the 2023 rebel Goal of the Year.

Houston's remarkable goal against the Bombers has been recognised as one of the three most outstanding majors from the 2023 Toyota Premiership Season, nominated as a finalist alongside Brisbane young gun Will Ashcroft and North Melbourne livewire Paul Curtis.

Port Adelaide supporters can throw their backing behind the All-Australian defender by casting their vote here.

The winner will be presented with the rebel Goal of the Year at the 2023 Brownlow Medal.

All members of the public that vote and picked a weekly winner in the 2023 rebel Goal of the Year will go into the draw to win a total prize of $5,000, which includes $4,000 cash and a $1,000 rebel voucher.
