PORT ADELAIDE forward Connor Rozee was among three Power players to receive votes in the 2019 SHADFORTH FINANCIAL GROUP AFLCA CHAMPION PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD after his side’s loss to Brisbane on Saturday night.

Rozee polled seven votes after having 21 disposals, seven marks and two tackles against the Lions.

The 19-year-old also finished with a team-high five goals, showing impressive composure and sure hands in greasy conditions in just his third game of senior football.

Rozee’s teammate Sam Powell-Pepper earned two votes for his 29 disposals, three marks, seven clearances, four tackles and eleven inside 50s.

Former Power captain Travis Boak earned a single vote in another outstanding performance through the midfield.

Boak had 35 disposals, five marks, seven clearances, four tackles and two goals to keep himself firmly in the top 10 on the award’s leaderboard.

Brisbane’s Lachlan Neale received a perfect 10 votes from the Lion’s win over the Power, joining Patrick Dangerfield (Geelong), Isaac Heeney (Sydney), Jeremy Cameron (GWS) and Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs) in receiving the maximum ten votes from the AFL coaches for Round 3.

Geelong’s Tim Kelly has moved into outright leadership of the voting after earning eight votes in his side’s win over Adelaide on Thursday night.
