Port Adelaide has secured the signature of exciting talent Miles Bergman, with the 23-year-old signing on until at least the end of 2027.

Standing at 190-centimetres, Bergman is strong in the air and at ground level, with his defensive efforts and elite ball use highly valued parts of his game.

He has enjoyed a breakout 2025 after taking the opportunity to expand his role from a defender to a midfielder who can also impact forward.

From 15 games this year, Bergman is averaging almost 19 disposals, six marks and has hit the scoreboard with five majors.

Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps said Bergman is an important part of the club’s future.

“We are thrilled to see Miles remain at Port Adelaide for another two years,” Cripps said.

“Miles’ versatility has been on show this year, and he’s really elevated his game to the point where he is now recognised as one of the league’s most exciting young players.

“He’s played multiple important roles for us on field, and we’ve also seen him grow as a leader, supporting a young leadership group.

“Miles is someone who will continue to build on his game and will be an important part of our team, now and into the future.”

Athletic and hard-working, Bergman has shown he can significantly impact games, and has matched up on some of the league’s top midfielders this season.

Bergman is excited to call Alberton home for two more years.

“I’ve loved my time at Port Adelaide since being drafted, and the club has continued to give me great opportunities to develop as a footballer and as a person,” he said.

“My teammates and coaches have helped me get to where I am today and I appreciate everything they’ve done for me. My fiancé Meecah and I are happy to call Port Adelaide home.

“I’m so excited about this young playing group and leadership group and I feel like we can go a long way over the next few years.”

Bergman was drafted by the Power at pick 14 in the 2019 national draft and is now preparing for his 99th AFL game this weekend.
