Port Adelaide’s Indy Tahau is on track for a long-awaited return to AFLW football following a serious knee injury in the 2023 season.

The 22-year-old has returned to full training after successfully completing her rehabilitation for an ACL rupture and will be available for Round 1.

Janelle Cuthbertson and Lauren Young are progressing well through the final stages of their ACL rehabilitation and are both expected to be available for selection inside the first half of the upcoming season, and Jasmine Evans returned to drills this week after managing a shin issue.

Defender Cheyenne Hammond will miss the start of the season after sustaining a fracture in her foot during training, while Kirsty Lamb is expected to integrate back into full training in the coming weeks after managing a foot issue across the pre-season.

Jemma Charity is continuing her recovery from an ACL rupture sustained prior to her selection in the 2024 draft, while earlier this week, the club confirmed Caitlin Wendland has been ruled out of the season with the same injury.

Port Adelaide will take on Adelaide in its first pre-season hit out on Saturday, July 26 at 11am at Alberton Oval. Entry is free.
