Alberton Oval is entering an exciting new chapter, with construction on the new AFLW changerooms, coaching facilities, and terraced grandstands along the eastern boundary now well underway.

As these works progress, there will be some changes to our AFLW game day experience, including a reduced capacity on the eastern side of the ground – but we’re working hard to ensure your match-day experience remains as enjoyable as ever.

With the eastern side, including the soccer pitch, out of action for the remaining two games, the western side of the oval will become the hub of activity on game days. Fans can look forward to food and beverage outlets, family-friendly spaces, and a vibrant atmosphere for all ages.

The Port Adelaide Bowling Club will be open for fans, offering some of the best views of the action, and the opportunity to play lawn bowls and enjoy the on-site DJ. There will also be a free glass of Bone Dry rosé on arrival for those aged 18 and older.

The grassed area behind the southern goals will feature deck chairs, wine barrels, and umbrellas, while the Precinct Village will be boosted with more food trucks and entertainment to cater for the changes.

Entry to Alberton Oval will be via the Bob McLean Gates, The Precinct, or the Bowling Club, with the gates on Seventh Avenue now closed.

This redevelopment is all about building for the future, delivering improved facilities for our players, members, and the whole community.

We can’t wait to share it with you once it’s complete, but in the meantime, we invite you to come along, soak up the atmosphere, and be part of this exciting journey with us.

Thank you for your support and patience as we create the next chapter of Alberton Oval together.
