PORT ADELAIDE and China-based partner Mr Gui have celebrated another successful year of partnership with the exchange of a unique piece of jewellery that highlights the club’s new logo.

Mr Gui has helped provide the inspiration and financial backing for Port Adelaide’s annual game in Shanghai, which has been a highlight of the AFL fixture since the inaugural game in 2017.

Chief Executive Officer Keith Thomas sought the expertise of Kathy and Kip Hambi from Fili Jewellers in North Adelaide, who did a wonderful job of designing and crafting the unique piece in just 24 hours. It looked beautifully elegant displayed in white gold and draped on an impressive bottle of Penfolds Grange.

Mr Gui was thankful for the kind gesture and said he could not wait to welcome Port Adelaide back to Shanghai and be a part of the club’s 150th year celebrations.

Port Adelaide members and supporters will again have the opportunity to watch the Power tackle St Kilda in Shanghai next season.

The AFL confirmed in September a game will be played in the Chinese city on Sunday, May 31 in Round 11 of the 2020 AFL Premiership Season.
