Round 2, April 2, 2017

As Port Adelaide prepares to host Fremantle to launch its 2018 AFL season, portadelaidefc.com.au takes a look back on the last clash between the sides.

The two sides met at Adelaide Oval, in Port’s first home game of the 2017 season.

The Power burst out of the blocks, effectively killing off the game with a seven-goal to two first quarter, including two from Robbie Gray in the opening seven minutes.

He would finish with six for the game to go with 30 possessions to be the most dominant player on the field.

The only blips in the Power's match day came from a temporary lull that allowed Freo three consecutive majors in the third term but the home side would go on to record a comfortable 89-point win.
