Port Adelaide have named an initial 30-man squad for its Marsh Community Series match against Brisbane.

PORT ADELAIDE will take a strong squad to Queensland when they meet Brisbane at the Moreton Bay Sports Complex in round 1 of the Marsh Community Series on Sunday afternoon.

Skipper Tom Jonas will lead the side for the first time in the famous number 1 guernsey, while the likes of Charlie Dixon, Travis Boak and Connor Rozee have all been named against the Lions.

Power fans will also get a first look at some new faces, with young small forward Tobin Cox set to make his first appearance with the AFL team after being named on a half forward flank and draftee Mitch Georgiades a possible selection from an extended interchange.

Meanwhile, Jack Watts could also be in line for a return to top flight football after recovering from a horrific broken leg early in the 2019 season, also named on the interchange.

Robbie Gray and Scott Lycett are the notable absentees from Sunday’s fixture, both will not make the trip to Queensland after being selected to play in next Friday’s State of Origin Bushfire Relief match, while vice-captain Ollie Wines and father-son draftee Jackson Mead will both miss the clash through injury.

Port Adelaide’s 30-man squad will be trimmed to 26 at 4.30pm on Friday afternoon.
