Brad Ebert will be unavailable for selection against Carlton after accepting a one-match suspension for rough conduct against the Giants.

PORT ADELAIDE forward Brad Ebert will miss Sunday’s clash against Carlton after the club elected not to challenge a one-match ban arising out of the weekend’s win over Greater Western Sydney.

Ebert was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Giant Harry Perryman during the first quarter of the Round 6 match played at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct of medium impact and high contact.

The 30-year-old entered an early guilty plea, and in doing so accepted a one-match suspension.

It means Port Adelaide will be forced into two changes to the side that enjoyed a 17-point win over GWS last Sunday with Ebert’s ban and a hamstring suffered by utility Cam Sutcliffe.

A 26-man squad will be named for the clash against the Blues on Thursday evening, before being trimmed to 22 on Friday afternoon.
