SAM MAYES will play his first AFL game for Port Adelaide after being named among two changes to the side to face Carlton on Sunday.

Xavier Duursma will also return to the side, having missed three games with a hamstring strain.

The pair replaces the suspended Brad Ebert and injured Cam Sutcliffe in the team which beat Greater Western Sydney on the Gold Coast last week.

Ruckman Scott Lycett, who was due to play his 100th AFL game, has been forced out with a knee injury and his place in the side will be taken by Peter Ladhams.

Tom Rockliff, Mitch Georgiades, Riley Bonner and Miles Bergman have been named as emergencies.

Port Adelaide will take on Carlton from 1:05pm local time / 12:35pm ACST on Sunday.
