Carr, who was acquired with the Power’s only pre-season draft pick in 2008, could only manage three kicks and six handballs in the loss to St. Kilda on Friday night. Lower racked up 18 possessions and two tackles, but couldn’t hold his spot in the 22.
General Manager – Football Operations Peter Rohde said Carr hasn’t managed to find form during the start of the 2009 season.
“He struggled a bit last week against St. Kilda and with Matt Thomas coming back from suspension – who was very good against the Hawks – Carry had to make way,” Rohde said.
“The game against the Saints wasn’t a great one for Lower to come back in for and he didn’t really pick up the pace of the game until the second half. He’s a bit unlucky but we had to find a spot for Peter Burgoyne who was good in the first few weeks.”
The Power will train tomorrow from 11am at AAMI Stadium.
