JOHN McCarthy continues to impress at Alberton, with his 30 possession effort in Round 7 also catching the eyes of the two coaches on Sunday.

Power coach Matt Primus and Dockers coach Ross Lyon gave McCarthy and Matthew Broadbent votes in the AFL Coaches Association Award.

It is the second time McCarthy has broken the 30 possession barrier, with the first being against former side Collingwood.

Broadbent was also busy, picking up 17 possessions, 10 of which were contested to go with his six tackles as he continues to cement his place in the Power's best 22.
