Charlie Dixon and Xavier Duursma have earned Mark of the Year nominations for Round 10.

PORT ADELAIDE wingman Xavier Duursma will go head to head with big forward Charlie Dixon for the Round 10 Mark of the Year.

Duursma was nominated for his courageous mark late in the second quarter of Port Adelaide’s win over the Western Bulldogs.

The 20-year-old ran back with the flight to claim a chest mark inside defensive 50, ignoring the oncoming Tom Jonas and Josh Bruce and putting his body on the line.

Duursma got up gingerly and played on after the trio collided while Jonas and Bruce were slower to get back to their feet.

Dixon’s grab was quite different but equally worthy of a nomination.

In the third quarter of the same game, Karl Amon bombed a high ball deep inside 50 to where Dixon was camped along with six other players in a big pack.

He used his brute strength to hold off a couple of Dogs’ defenders and using one hand, controlled the ball calmly to claim a remarkable grab.

The other Round 10 nominee for Mark of the Year is Gold Coast forward Izak Rankine for his big hang on the wing during his side’s narrow loss to St Kilda.
