Charlie Dixon celebrated his 150th AFL game in style, claiming the Round 17 mark of the year.

PORT ADELAIDE forward Charlie Dixon has won the popular vote for the Round 17 Rebel Mark of the Year.

Dixon was nominated for his outrageous one-handed effort in the first quarter of the 50-point win over Essendon at Adelaide Oval on Saturday.

The 29-year-old held off one opponent with his left hand and out-marked another, leaning back and plucking the ball out of the air with his right hand when it appeared to be sailing past him.

He went back and snapped the ball around his body for his first major of the night.

His was the overwhelming winner with 80.4% of the vote. Fremantle’s Michael Waters was the next best with 14.4% while Richmond backman Dylan Grimes came third with 5.3%.

It was Dixon’s second nomination for Mark of the Year and his first win, after his one-handed controlled effort against the Western Bulldogs in Round 10 finished runner up to Gold Coast’s Izak Rankine.
