Port Adelaide will play prime time Saturday night blockbusters against Brisbane and Adelaide in Rounds 7 and 8 under the latest fixture update released by the AFL today.

After the success of the rolling fixture in 2020, the AFL had only scheduled up until Round 6 so far.

The latest fixture reveal has Port Adelaide travelling to Brisbane to take on the Lions at the Gabba on Saturday 1 May at 7:25pm EST / 6.55pm ACST in a game which pits two of last year’s preliminary finalists against each other.

The following week Port will host rival the Adelaide Crows at Adelaide Oval also in a Saturday night fixture.

“These fixtures are a fantastic outcome for our members and our partners, with Saturday night games the preferred time slot for our members,” said Port Adelaide Chief Executive Matthew Richardson.

“Our Round 8 home Showdown will be huge and we look forward to our members and supporters packing into Adelaide Oval to support our players against the Crows.”

The AFL is expected to release the next block of fixtures for Port Adelaide’s games against the Western Bulldogs and Collingwood within a fortnight.
