Forward Boyd Woodcock seems a like-for-like replacement for Robbie Gray, having played four games already this season.

INJURIES to Robbie Gray and Lachie Jones will force Port Adelaide into at least two changes to its side for Saturday’s clash with Sydney

Both Gray and Jones had been deployed as forwards against Gold Coast last weekend and their absence for several weeks will open the door for other forwards or a positional reshuffle in a side known for its versatility.

Small forward Boyd Woodcock is in the mix, having played four of his nine career games in 2021. His most recent came as the medical substitute in the Round 13 loss to Geelong.

Todd Marshall will also come into calculations for an immediate return after recovering from a concussion that forced him out of the win over the Suns.

Second-year forward Dylan Williams did his chances of an AFL debut no harm with six goals against Sturt in the SANFL at the weekend. The skilful left footer has now returned 11 goals in his last four matches.

Explosive youngster Martin Frederick could also be given an AFL recall after solid showings in the SANFL in the last couple of weeks, while Riley Bonner spent time further up the ground playing against Sturt last Sunday and was among the better performers on a disappointing day.

Port Adelaide will name its AFL side to face the Swans on Thursday evening.
