PORT ADELAIDE forward Orazio Fantasia has been removed from the club’s injury list and is available for selection for Sunday’s game against Greater Western Sydney.

After a mid-season arthroscopy, Fantasia has been training well in recent weeks, and showed he was ready to return during a competitive training session involving players from Port Adelaide, Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.

The 25-year-old had been the club’s leading goal kicker this season prior to his injury with 19 goals in his 10 games.

Defender Lachie Jones will have surgery this week after suffering a syndesmosis injury.

The 19-year-old – who had surgery earlier this year to repair his right syndesmosis – injured his left ankle during Saturday’s hit-out and will be sidelined for about a month.

Ruckman Sam Hayes will miss around three weeks of football after having surgery on Sunday to relocate a finger he dislocated on Saturday.

Experienced forward Robbie Gray is edging much closer to a return to the field and continues to progress well through his rehab and training, while Steven Motlop will resume running this week following his ankle surgery.

Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name a 26-man squad to tackle Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.

The side will be trimmed on Friday.
