Arriving at Port Adelaide in the 2023 trade period, ruck Jordon Sweet returns to South Australia looking for more opportunity at the senior level. Having benefitted from working alongside All-Australian ruckman Tim English, Sweet has been in the AFL system for more than five years – developing his fitness, skill and ruck craft.
A mobile tall with a mature body, the 25-year-old is set to complement and develop alongside the Power’s emerging midfield. At a towering 206cm, he is the club’s tallest ever player. With the departures of Scott Lycett and Sam Hayes, Sweet will work with fellow ruckmen Ivan Soldo and Dante Visentini, hoping to see more senior game time and push for Port Adelaide’s number one ruck spot.

We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
